Review of The Nanny

The Nanny (1993–1999)
7/10
Good show, bad voice

Warning: Spoilers
This show was a good one but watching back to back episodes got a bit tiring on my ears with Fran Drescher's voice grating in my ears. The beginning premise is pretty weak with a rich man turning his kids over to a door to door saleswoman who happens to appear when he so desperately needs some one. The show takes off from there though when she is hired as the nanny and moves in. The kids are very funny and the give and take between Niles, the butler, and CiCi, the partner, is some of the best repartee in the episodes. Of course I can not imagine a butler actually being that snotty to some one and still having a job but this is TV, suspend reality. I loved Fran's grandma Yeta, she is a blast and adds some good old fashion free love to the show.
