"End of the Rainbow" begins with a guy being chased through some lonely streets at night. He tries to make a phone call but is interrupted by a guy with a gun. But, instead of shooting him, they force him into the road where he is deliberately run over to make it look like an accident. In the dead man's pocket is a matchbook with Mannix' name and number on it--so the investigating policeman phones Mannix. However, Mannix cannot identify the dead guy and is puzzled why he had his number. So, on a lark, Mannix decides to dig on his own. Soon, others related to the dead man either end up dead or attempts are made on their lives! Obviously SOMETHING is going on and Mannix is out to get to the bottom of it.
During the course of the show, you see Mannix beaten up, Mannix doing some beating up, a dame who turns out to be pure poison and a violent ending. All in all, a VERY typical sort of show for the series! Well done and, as always, entertaining.
