The sheer brilliance of 2012 far cry 3 put the majority of mainstream games to shame
It was brilliant with a gripping story, amazing gameplay, and scenery to match
Now take this game, throw in lasers, dragons, cyber warriors, cheesy one liners and the greatest movie moments of the 80s and the result is outstanding.
Two minutes into its retro 80s opening and you know something special is starting, the gameplay Mirrors far cry 3 with slight difference ( the main one being blowing up dragons!!!) the landscape is just as beautiful and your character Rex colt is as bad ass an cheesy as you could want.
Terminator, aliens, robo cop references just a few of the hidden gems scattered throughout the game
Being set in the distant future of 2007 and the ever so overused nuclear world war only add to the feel of the game And getting Michael beihn to do a cheesy kurt Russell voice as the hero is inspired.
Ubisoft managed to take the master class of far cry 3 and somehow perfect it
Remember what your playing expect over the top lasers, exploding dragons cheesy lines and you will be in gaming bliss ( throwing d20 instead if rocks!! What more could you want!!)
it's only issue Is the main story will only last about 2 to 3 hours, adding in all the side missions and collectibles there's in total about 7 hours of gameplay, I hope another is coming soon, as it's needed, I sadly feel this game will be over looked as the current CoD generation just won't get it, and what's it's about. I hope I'm proved wrong.
