Warning: Spoilers
I am just going to go on record to say I was so irritated when I heard they were bringing Bobby back. I was just frustrated and mad and irked. But I feel a thousand times better about it now that I have seen how they were going to do it. I liked how he represented the side in Sam that was OK with dying. I thought no one could do it better than Bobby. Death coming back for that scene was such a joy. Death is one of the best characters on the show. He doesn't care who wins and who loses. He is the true victor of any side, and that is what I love about him. There is no lust for power, or anything like that. In the end, he knows he will reap everyone, even God. That laundromat scene nearly had me in tears. It was so powerful and meaningful. It was him shedding everything he has ever been, the Castiel that we know and love. First we watch him take off his entire outfit, one thing that has been a constant of him throughout the 5 seasons we have seen him. But instead of washing it, he spies the food and realizes he has to eat. Cas never has to eat, unless he's around Famine then look out burger joints, and so to see his face, his body language so conflicted, trying to choose between clean clothes or food... It was powerful and Misha pulled it off perfectly. But the award for perfect acting tonight goes without a doubt to Jared. That scene between him and Death murdered me. Where he just wants to die, and stay dead. Alive or dead, Sam causes pain on those he loves, even though he doesn't mean it, and I can't blame him for asking, making a deal that he would finally stay dead. Jared was flawless delivering those lines, and it was heart wrenching. Can I just say, wtf was up with Hael? Write in a creeper who wants to become one with Castiel, and then stab her and kill her off. But we all can't blame her. Misha is pretty attractive. But I'm just thinking, if you are going to take the time to introduce such a creeper, make Cas' situation with her scary, and then just kill her off like that? Come on. What a waste. And then there's just using Tahmoh Penikett for that one part of the episode. He is so quality that they only use him for that? Disappoint.I really want to see more of him, and hopefully Ezekiel will get that vessel back. Worst part of the episode, easily: 'There ain't no me, if there ain't no you'. I'm sorry. Felt like poor writing and not something Dean would say. Even Fake Ezekiel Dean. They could have written something far better. Come on, Jeremy Carver! You're not Sera Gamble! I hate that line, and I never want to see it again. Peace out, bitches~
