symbolism by the metric tonne---beautiful CGI scenery
3 August 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This film though fluff is pretty fluff. Almost any still from the film could be framed. Even the main character Tonho is a playgirl pinup. Of course a lot of this imagery is computer generated---real life is not that pretty.

The actual story is another matter. Symbolism is over supplied by the metric tonne and it is underlined and heavy handed to boot. You begin to wonder who the director aimed this film at audience wise = those of limited intelligence trying to be deep? Perhaps also known as typical art film festival attendees?

In the end boy gets girl and breaks feud thanks to adoring younger brother. Deep? No. Corny and over dramatic? Yes. Believable? No.

This film becomes a curious thing an art film trivialized or almost a parody of an art film.

Is it worth watching?... Sure just lower your expectations.
