This is the sixth episode of the third season of the Simpsons and while not as good as the previous two episodes, it is still rather enjoyable. While there may be a few laughs, the episode is not high on jokes. But the drama is there, and that makes for a surprisingly emotional episode. Father-son reunions sure do have a way of getting into my heart.
In this episode, "Like Father, Like Clown," we finally get to learn a little more about Krusty the Klown and his Jewish heritage. Krusty has been separated from his rabbi father for over 2 decades because his father did not approve of him being an comedian. Lisa and Bart decide to work together to reunite father and son.
Overall, this is a rather sentimental episode that is a little low on the laughs. I have come to expect laughter with the Simpsons, but I was moved by the episode and I guess I can call that a good thing, even though I have never been a favorite of Krusty the Klown. I rate this episode 8/10.
