Sandy doesn't want Ryan to see Marissa anymore, Julie and Jimmy want to get married and move to Hawaii with Marissa and she wants to come as she wants to keep the family together. But it doesn't work out since Caleb was broke so Jimmy can't return money to his client, gets beat up and decides to move out of the city instead. Kirsten comes back home and Seth gets two months detention while saving Summer from it.
It seems the writers have given up. They think people are so into the show now that they don't have to try. I have said before that the whole alcoholism story was ridiculous. So was the motel scene in this episode and who the hell was even that woman Kirsten was with and what were her intentions. She seemed to have some "evil intentions" but those never got explained.
The whole thing between Jimmy and Julie was dumb too. Why would he leave, they were leaving together anyways, it is not like staying with her he would have to stay in OC. And it seems out of character for him not to say anything to her. Nor does Marissa make sense, when your dad's face is all beaten up you don't be a little selfish baby. Oh it is soooo hard for her, poor little spoiled brat. In a way it looks like a nice revenge from Jimmy to Julie, as she left him because of lack of money before as well.
