Review of Troll 2

Troll 2 (1990)
1/10
There's lots of good times to be had in Nilbog
2 December 2014
If Grandpa Seth only warned the parents of little Joshua that vacationing in Nilbog is not the best destination instead of leaving that to poor Joshua, this foolish family would never have gotten into this foolish mess. Troll 2 does not operate by any understandable logic, it was conceived and filmed in some sort of alternate dimension where the rules of higher thought are twisted and distorted into the wonderful travesty that is Troll 2. Putting aside the sheer lunacy and jaw dropping idiocy that is the plot about vegetarian Goblins who turn humans into plants and vegetables to be eaten, it's the stilted dialogue delivery, the Z grade production value, the Goblin costumes that would be laughed off stage in a elementary school play - that gives Troll 2 it's amazingly stupid charm. As a child I vividly remember watching this on VHS, only to find myself beyond confused at the infamous popcorn scene and god knows what else, only to rediscover this special film years later, along with the rest of the bad movie loving world. Troll 2 may live up to its title as the worst or one of the worst films of all time, but it's never boring and you'll get a good laugh.
