Sila (2006–2008)
beautiful almost against the script
5 January 2015
the social aspects of old Turkish rules, the splendid landscapes, the decent performances, the music and the pieces from a world at borders of modernization. each of them represents a virtue. but the essence is the ordinary pink romanticism, the adventures in fake clothes, the accent on a beautiful couple and the tricks of each soap opera who impose the frame of a world with deep roots of fairy tale for adults. it is a nice series. not remarkable but useful window to a strange civilization. the poor girl, the cute aga, the sacrifice, love, revenge, walls and good intentions are each at right place and the right dimension. a film about relationships and order , in many parts version of The Beauty and The Beast, not different by the long chain of Turkish soap operas but , in essence, beautiful, almost against the not the best script.
