Was pleasantly surprised.

This is an action comedy horror movie from Hong Kong starring Fui-On Shing in the title role, which I think is a huge role for me since he has mostly be relegated to supporting roles other HK films. He plays a cop Tsu Hsiang who turns into a human monster after he is killed by triad members. He is oblivious to what really happen to him and finds that he needs to recharge himself from electricity in order to stay alive.

The film starts off pretty slow with some tasteless comedy; however, it picks up steam when the triad stuff happens and Tsu Hsiang turns into a monster and begins to sense supernatural-related things have gone wrong with him. The plot is pretty solid from then on as well.

There are some parts that will make you cringe when you watch, especially during parts when Tsu Hsiang tries to eat (best not to snack on food when you watch this film). The acting was pretty good, which a solid performance by Mr. Vampire actress Pauline Wong. For one of his few if not only title role, actor Fui-On also did a good job.

Plenty of action, drama and comedy. Not bad overall.
