I've watched Match of the Day for as long as I can remember, it is essential viewing. Gary Lineker is pretty good as the host, he's not the most charismatic presenter of all time but he gets the job done, and actually he's been there and worn the T shirt, so he can comment with authority. Of late it's the panelists that are just so boring, being a mad Liverpool fan I am missing Alan Hanson's sometimes drunken rants. Alan Shearer is so boring he could literally cure an insomniac. Why not consider moving Garth Crooks to match of the day, at least he's funny, doesn't always know what he's on about, but entertaining. I know I've had a moan, but as soon as I hear that music I'm a happy chappy.
