So, a young robotic genius shows off his masterpiece humanoid robot to a science journalist with extensive experience in robotics; all while being electronically monitored by his billionaire mentor.

Only so many possible outcomes could result from the setup. Is the nominal scientist really a robot? Is the nominal robot really a robot? Is the journalist really a robot? Do the robot(s) know what they are? Why do the humans give off robotic cues? This movie telegraphs the ending in the first couple of scenes. Nothing else interesting or entertaining happens. The human/machine issues raised are old hat to the genre. In fact, for a better, if concise, discussion of AI, check out S7E7 of THE GOOD WIFE TV show about driverless cars. Why spend the time to watch a movie when the only payoff is who is and isn't a robot?

I will say that the actors do a terrific job and the mood is set well.
