Charles McGraw, Bert Convy, Dyan Cannon and a voice without a face cannon's hair all wrong unusual gun jam Lee (Paul Picerni) silent partner calls and threatens Ness --Ness takes credit for killing lawyer--why didn't he tell Lee? --this didn't make sense --instead puts him on leave

In this episode, there's an unseen villain who pulls strings and runs a criminal empire. Eventually, this man in the shadows comes out, so to speak, when one of his most trusted aids is killed in a gun battle with the Untouchables. He phones Ness to say he's going to kill him...and Ness doesn't correct him by letting him know he didn't shoot the guy...Lee (Paul Picerni) did. Now here is where it doesn't make any sense. After taking credit for the killing with the press, Ness never tells Lee or the other members of his force why he lied about killing the man. They think Ness is just a giant butt-face...but he's trying to protect Lee from retribution. Why...why not just explain stuff to his trusted men?! To find out how all this works out and whether or not they kill Lee, Ness or capture the unseen man, see the show. Overall, an enjoyable episode and decent change of pace...with a big plot hole.
