Do I get any "credibility pts." for actually watching it WHEN IT WAS ON NBC?

My buddy had tipped me off to it as a realistic high school show set in our era (late 70's - early 80's) to check out, unlike that "Dawson emo crap" (his words, not mine) which was then all the rage. I got hooked right away, and even had to finish it up when the remaining episodes were dumped to the FOX Family Channel (yup, that's what it was then called) the next summer.

Anyway, I think the first episode I saw was when the geeks tried to make friends with the hot new girl (played by Kayla Ewell) by inviting her to an after-school rocket launching, while the freaks got fake ID's made through a guy they knew (played by Jason Schwartzman). He hooked them up with a scary fake ID maker (Kevin Corrigan). It was great dark comedy all around. And Schwartzman's mall store manager was played in an uncredited role by a smarmy Joel Hodgson, who I hadn't seen anywhere since he bolted MST3K. I won't give away the twist ending when the freaks finally get to try out their fake ID's.

What a great episode, and there were many others just as good, with a music budget for original-version licensed songs far superior than anything else going back then.
