I enjoyed this travel series on seeing exotic parts of the world with the Railway that made it so authentic and exciting as if by romantic exploration.
It introduced a country that a celebrity was going to travel with its railway and with this the background and route they were going to travel. The programme was entertaining and educational by which you learnt about an area through its public transport making key stops along the way.
The programme was not just about the Railway but notable areas of the area or UNESCO sights of world history, key industrial areas, cultural heritage and lifestyles of an area that opened peoples mind to the world without a book. My two favourites were Europe and Syria.
