2/10
Very random, fictitious connection

Warning: Spoilers
"Scarface: Origins of a Hip Hop Classic" is a 19-minute documentary short film from almost 15 years ago that has several big names from the rap music industry tell us why the film "Scarface" is so important to them. The basic connection is Scarface - gangster - hop, which goes, in my opinion, strictly against the wishful idea that hip hop artists should not be linked to the world of crime, but I guess the people in here love that aura of danger surrounding them. I do not and that's why I give this a really low rating. It also seems pretty random to me that they picked "Scarface" as there are many more somewhat epic gangster films. I hope Benny Boom and Julie Merson managed to improve since making this embarrassing work here. Highly not recommended. The only good thing is that huge hip hop fans will see many of their heroes, I guess. But for everybody else this is absolutely not worth seeing.
