Oz is back claiming to be able to control his werewolf side and wants to win Willow back. Yet Willow has moved on with Tara and feels a struggle of where her heart belongs. Oz has come back redeemed which I appreciated after his last appearance giving closure to his fans and I find it sweet that Willow is still the apple of his eye instead of their relationship never meaning anything at all. It also advanced his werewolf abilities as he's able to control when he changes so he won't be a danger to society making him a full member of the scoobies again. In a way I wish Willow has chosen Oz because it was like a fairy tale and each others first love, but another side likes Tara. It really plays with your heart as she must choose between them as both suitors are interesting, sweet and seem like the perfect fit. Yet oz still has trouble when he's angry making it clear he has more soul searching to do and will become a better man away from Sunnydale.
Another aspect is Riley learning not all monsters are evil. He gets to know Oz as a person so when his bosses take him in he has to chose loyalty to them or to his girlfriend. Riley actually defies orders with the knowledge its what's inside that counts and the initiative are biased in who is worth saving or not.
