My initial thought about the web series orange is the black is of the following in my opinion i personally feel like the first two episodes were very well presented due to the fact the main protagonist (piper chapman) kind of counter typed from the stereotype of all blonde women being dumb,clueless,and unaware of whats happening. As in the show she is seen to be quite smart yet shows some elements of naitivity this is evident by the fact in the show when she says "i read your not suppose to answer those question" this suggest that she is trying to adapt to prison the way it says in book. On the other hand, in parts of the show she can be seen adhering to blonde American lady by saying "by the time I'm out there will be 5 new generations of i phones" this implies that she is a mainstreamer meaning that she wants to keep up with the latest trends just like all common American white middle aged women. The entire web series kind of steers from women prison for example the main the protagonist is white however, in our day and age its normally black females who are in prison. Furthermore we meet pipers ex girlfriend Alex vause (Laura Prepon) she is the one who she originally committed the crime with which ultimately made her go to jail. Alex and piper had a lesbian relationship behind her boyfriends back "jew boy" Jason biggsl Larry bloom.
