Being Erica: Sins of the Father (2011)
Season 4, Episode 5
6/10
young Amanda dancing (er, rhythmically swaying?) to The Hustle
11 July 2017
Episode that doesn't feature any of Erica's maidenhood family and friends. No Mom, Dad, brother, sister, friends or, basically, any of the Season 1 characters except Erica and Dr. Tom. Story revolves more around Dr. Tom, who is, anyway, the strongest, most polished performer of the series (and the only one I wouldn't have threatened to fire had I been chief boss there). Sigh, ho hum, Dr. Naadiah, she doesn't exactly inspire me to watch, and like I said in the previous episode's review, I cannot, cannot stand this Adam. Like, ugh, and a yech! thrown in for good measure. Saw on the disk that an upcoming episode features Ethan again. That's Erica's original boyfriend a la Season 1, right? Finally, maybe this soccer-bloke Irish Adam can be wiped off the screen even before the series finale (which is now just six episodes off)?

The Seventies was the big backdrop for this episode. It was the time of disco a la Saturday NIGHT FEVER, so I guess it was 1977. Sadly listened to that tune as the vinyl record played. With young Amanda dancing to it. That made the episode for me. The tune was so cool, so cool, so super cool... Like wow, man, I am a child of the Seventies. The girl looked so gentle dancing to it, clapping her hands, aw, man, I am not kidding now, if I don't stop this, I'm gonna cry...
