I know i might sound like I'm exaggerating, but i have watched this film enough times to memorize all the best lines, and have the amazing action scenes burned into my brain, as awesome as this movie is, i am not blind to the mistakes in it, but like any movie mistakes will be made, and what matters is that the movie entertains you, and this one certainly does! I've seen a lot of superhero cartoons and anime, including every part of the Bruce Timm Verse, i wish i could travel to that world, there is always the possibility of getting superpowers, every woman there is gorgeous, and my favorite superheroes will be there to protect me from my favorite super villains, however i would have to get a lot of insurance if i lived there! But i digress, this is one of the best justice league cartoon movies out there. In a parallel universe Lex luthor and other villains including the joker are heroes, while the justice league are the villains ( SCARY!) Good Lex travels to the justice league world to ask for help, being heroes of course they do, as soon as they travel to the other world the action never stops. the animation in this film is so fluid, and every action scene literally leaves me in awe, i gave the animators of this film a lot of clapping. I felt this movie really put into perspective for me what it means to be a hero, the justice league willingly decide to leave their world to another world, just because its the right thing to do, i do feel they could have been a little more skeptical, but that's what Batman is for. Good Lex luthor has got to be the most likable character in the whole movie, maybe its his voice or his armor, because i never thought of him as the evil lex, and i like that despite asking for help from other heroes, he still gets things done, himself, and only needs the league for backup. The voice acting did take a minute to get used too, but the voice actors really grabbed me and i accepted them very quickly. the evil justice league are awesome, their actually a syndicate but act more like a mafia, the evil superman and green lantern even have awesome Italian/Brooklyn accents! evil flash has an Australian accent which is interesting. Superwoman is a creepy, yet sultry femme fatale, no surprise since shes played by Gina Torres. And probably my newest favorite villain of all time is Owl-man/ evil batman. His armor is awesome, his gadget are just as cool as batman, and best of all hes played by James woods, i flipped out when i recognized it as the same guy who played Hades from Disney Hercules, accept instead of being evil hammy, he is stone cold evil, which is just as delightful, and proves how great an actor JW is. But what separates him from other villains, his nihilistic philosophy that disturbingly intrigues me. He discovers alternate earths and decides life is meaningless, and creates a bomb capable of destroying all of earth, but since that wouldn't matter, what does he do, he goes to the first earth to blow that up, and in doing so destroy all of reality, killing everyone who ever existed,and who ever will live! That is all very thought provoking. A lot of people will complain that batman didn't put up much of a fight as he usually does, but lets not forget, he was fighting freakin superwoman, who with one pinch broke one of his ribs, yes that is upsetting ,but also it shows that hes very much human even his suit doesn't give him any sort of artificial powers like lex's does, but what proves that Batman is the ultimate hero of all time is when he confronts owlman on earth prime as the nukes about to go off, he is very outmached physically and mentally, at first, whats very interesting is batman actually tries to help owlman at first, perhaps because hes his alternate self, but also probably because hes become a professional psychologist at this point, after all the fights with joker, of course after that fails, and he knows owlman is going to do it, he kicks his butt, teleports owlman with the nuke to an uninhabited world, while delivering one of the most bad ass batman lines ever, proving he is capable of anything, if it means it will save the world. When Owlman realizes what happened, he notices his nuke about to go off, but there is an emergency stop button, with only a few seconds to go, all he says is " it doesn't matter", that is one of the most intriguing, nihilistic and kind of bad-ass deaths for a cartoon villain i've ever seen. I really like that this is supposed to be the bridge for justice league and JLU, it helps explain a few things. Yes the plot is simple, its mostly action, but the dialogue is memorable and so are the characters, and its all thought provoking about parallel earth, free will, the human race in general, but it also helps us to realize why the world is worth fighting for. I've talked long enough, go see this movie!
