So these sequels begin
6 November 2017
I knew I'd have to deal with the direct to video Disney sequels this month, but honestly they're probably no worse than most of the other direct to video movies here. This movie is divided into three parts and that probably makes it all the more pointless. The first part is probably the worst as it just has Cinderella adjust to life as a princess. It's boring and serves no purpose. Most of these stories make no sense at all. In the second one, Jaq is turned into a human. Jaq even flat out requests that the story not be told because of how boring it is. Even he hates this movie! He has to stop an elephant, so he's turned back into a mouse because elephants are afraid of mice.

Uh...if elephants are afraid of mice, wouldn't that just make the elephant more agitated? In the final part, Cinderella tries to get Anastasia a boyfriend. There's this one scene where she thinks her boyfriend has found someone else and she leaves. Why is this confusion never brought up again? Also, the mice make two cats fall in love. The female cat gets covered in water which makes her reject the other cat for absolutely no reason. I do like the idea of Cinderella helping her stepsisters. The Cinderella films, whether they be animated or live-action have given us great entertainment and this is the worst of their kind. *1/2
