Police got in the apartment where the fights occurred, several dogs were left dead inside cages. Veterinarian discovered a finger inside dog belly, belonged to a woman of around thirty years old. The wife of one member of the ring had been missing for two weeks, much to her sister displeasure. The husband, a real estate agent, had an affair with a reporter and maybe they wanted to get rid of the victim. She framed him, by giving to the police the place where the body was buried. Cutter postdated the trial for one day looking for further evidences: the reporter had an affair even with the ring leader (whose business involved selling conterfeit wine bottles and the victim was ready to report the fraud).
