Alex Luster (Gabrielle Haugh) cares for her maternal grandmother Anna Luster (Lin Shaye). Not sure how those surnames worked out. She discovers the Midnight Man game in the attic and plays it with a friend while folks drop in after midnight. The Midnight Man is a pagan demon, who like slugs, don't like salt. Robert Englund cameo is the sell point.
This film is fair, but not as good as the original Irish version which is included in the DVD. Lin Shaye was good. You can keep the rest.
