I agree people attacking this movie are way to harsh. I saw this in 1987 when it came out and yes even though it's not the book. It's better actually! This movie alone and the emotions it brings out has haunted me since 1987. These four kids should have gotten an Oscar. I can't bare to watch It more then once a year. For the emotions its brings out are just too overwhelming. If you want a movie that will haunt you for years this version of Flowers in the Attic will do just that. An if your a sensitive person be warned its emotionally rough. I'm very glad I saw it though for such a emotionally moving movie like this is rare.
