Loved...LOVED the opening (because the way the guy was with his pet, is how I am with my fur children)...until I loathed it, so be aware...there's a *minor* trigger if you're an animal lover.
If you're looking for a fast paced, grip the edge of your seat, ride...move along. You're not going to find it in this story.
What you'll get with this film is a slow, but methodically paced, thinking film.
Just enough shock and gore factor to keep you hooked, but, unlike most films, isn't mindless.
The ending was lazy...but...understandable, as it would have been difficult to actually "end" the story, with the way the finale of the movie came about.
I'm always a fan of movies about things that I can conceive could actually happen...and this film was a fresh face on the scene.
Like with all movies, some of the actors were okay and some were great. The character of Maggie was a real plus to the film. Believable and very cool.
I watched this film for free on Amazon Prime...but knowing what I know now...I'd have paid to rent it.
