Silent Witness: Commodity: Part 1 (2014)
Season 17, Episode 1

Leo's death leaves a hole.
24 October 2018
Series 17 opens up with Commodity, an episode which highlights anti semitism in Britain, a plight which sadly as prevelant in 2018.

The story splits into two strands, the body found in the rubbish tip, and the home invasion killing. Both offer plenty of intrigue, plus there's the added interest of the hot headed footballer.

Nikki's clearly affected by Leo's death, I like the way it was handled, she's clearly down, but the show isn't overly depressing.

Well acted, Alex Norton is good as the angry football chairman. It's French actor Hugo Becker that stands out as the talented, bit troubled footballer Isaac. Liz Carr is starting to get more screen time, from this season onwards she became one of the best characters, so cutting with her remarks, I loved how she took her new boss down. It would be a while before I took to Thomas.

It's as graphic as ever with bodies chopped out, so not a good idea to watch this eating food.
