Mr. Underwood is back in the house

Warning: Spoilers
"Let Me Be Frank" is a 3-minute live action short film that premiered during the holidays 2018 and has racked up almost 10 million views in half a month now since then. First of all, it needs to be said very neutrally that Kevin Spacey returns as Frank Underwood from House of Cards here. The last/final season of the show his character had been killed off after there were talks about Spacey making sexual use of a young man that was not entirely what the other guy wanted. Well, obviously with the whole "time's up" and "me too" debate and movement, consequences would be harsh and maybe career threatening for Spacey just like other actors suffered from it, not just Weinstein, but also the likes of renowned felles like Louis C.K., Jefrey Tambor and even Dustin Hoffman. So Spacey got his share too. But lets be honest, regardless of what he did he is one hell of an actor and there is a reason he is a two-time Academy Award winner, even if these triumphs are several years back already. He also scored the biggest glories for House of Cards, so I find it very disrespectful what they did with him on that show. I hope there can be some kind of spin-off, anything to bring him back, even if it will be a huge challenge to make it work story-wise. I am all for it too. I can see why some find this short movie embarrassing, but I thought it was another three minutes of very fine acting with some interesting references about Spacey's own life and a parallel to his character's. If you love House of Cards, then this is a must-see really. Maybe all we get from the character. By the way Spacey turns 60 this year. I hope he can have a better year again and will succeed with a return. And lets always remember. He is not a convicted criminal. There were no legal proceedings. Maybe the idea to get public with his homosexual back then wasn't the greatest idea, but yeah, we should focus away from his personal issues and admire him for his talent when it comes to the art of acting and performing. For me no hesitation, this short gets a thumbs-up. Go watch it.
