I was looking forward to watching this after its success at the Emmys and Golden Globes, and having very much enjoyed The People vs OJ Simpson. I was immediately drawn in and thought the acting was amazing and the attention to detail with the music and the sets and costume design was great. Yet, for a show that claimed "some events are combined or imagined for dramatic and interpretive purposes," I think they used too much artistic license as I found myself constantly wondering is that really how it happened? What's more, the nonlinear storytelling just didn't quite work for me. This was a 9 part series that could easily have been done in half of that. It dragged on a bit too long.
