The Bradys (1990)

Drama and the Typical Brady Humor Don't Mix
29 January 2019
In 1990, CBS had aired yet another installment with the Brady clan, simply called The Bradys. It was a poor attempt to mix heavy-handed drama and the corny Brady humor and extend the series to an hour-long show. What's so funny about alcoholism, dirty-dealing politics, and being handicapped to a wheelchair, anyway? Apparently, Robert Reed, yet again, fought constantly with the producing team of Lloyd and Sherwood Schwartz and disapproved the scripts that were written. Only 6 episodes were produced and were later edited into three TV movies for syndication: The Brady 500, Bradys on the Move, and Big Kids, Big Problems. These were shown prominently on Fox Family Channel in the late '90s.
