Violent Jazz

Warning: Spoilers
This is an interesting little short. It's kind of stupid and slightly humorous. I can't say I really like it because it's mostly Mickey Mouse fighting a piano. My question is why? Why is he fighting a piano? Is there some correlation between jazz and violence? At this time, many parents did not like jazz music (just as parents hated rock, metal, punk, hip hop, electronic, rap) so is this supposed to be a commentary on jazz music being violent? Jazz originated from black culture and there's a stereotype of people of color being animalistic so is it that this is symbolizing jazz (or people of color) are violent and barbaric? It is a black and white film with Mickey Mouse who is a black and white figure fight a black and white piano. There's some possible racial undertones happening here. Or is Mickey Mouse just punching and spanking a piano because it's dumb humor?
