Good original series

Warning: Spoilers
Fruit basket is an anime which is based of a manga created by Natsuki Takaya. I have not fully read the manga but as at the time the manga was ongoing the anime aired so therefore you would notice some differences.

Before I get into my review I would like to get two points across from two particular reviews not going to say who they but what year they wrote their reviews. One person from 2014 who claimed this anime sexist. Either, she should stop believing SjW or should have watched the anime more carefully. "the men are shown as incompetent, weak, pathetic" I am sorry but I don't see any of that in this anime. Another review in 2011 claimed the dub is bad and was controlling people on how they should watch it. Though don't get me wrong this guy's review was mostly positive but that statement his statement "Second of all please watch the anime subbed, not dubbed, because the english voice actors SUCK, there, I said it, they suck. Either this person is a an obnoxious troll or a hypocritical sub-entities/dub hater that you see everyday in the anime community. I admit I am a casual dub watcher but I have came across bad dubs before which are either misdirected or mishandled or just plain annoying. Same with subs (even though I rarely watch them because of sub-trash fanboys). Laura Bailey, Eric Vale, Chad Cline, Jerry Jewell and everyone else sounded really good as their roles plus the dub does not ruin my experience. On top of that the dub was so diverse that they even have child actors i.e Aaron Dismuke, Kate Bristol which is a rare thing in a Funimation dub nowadays.

If you come across either of those reviews do me a favour and pay no attention to them. Feel free to pay attention to the one from 2011 but not the one from 2014.

Now on to the series, this anime is about a young, cute, cheerful and beautiful by the name of Tohru Honda who had lost her mother in a car accident and because of how, considorith she is of other she decided to live out in tent next to the Sohma families. The Sohma's are a family which have been having a cures for many years. These are members of the zodiac and if they are hugged by the opposite sex they transform into their animal forms. One night Tohru is discovered by young, handsome but softly spoken boy called Yuki (The Rat) a popular boy at school who takes her in and lets her live at his house. Where she meets Shigure (the dog) the iresponsable, perverted man child and Kyo (The cat) the hot tempered, always aggressive who opposite to Yuki.

This show has a lot of interesting characters, funny humour and good quality animation. Also, the music in both the opening and closing credits is nice. The anime itself is pretty cute.

I liked every episode except for Episode 23 as that gave me joyless experience from beginning to end but it still had a lesson at the end of it. My favourite episode is episode 21 and the last 3 episodes. Also Akito is a badass villain

I heard there is going to be a reboot which is based on the manga which I am really looking forward to and I would love to see how different it is from the original series (i.e Akito's gender) the best part is that they have even got most of the dubbing voice actor yep even Laura Bailey and she has been going through a big career ever since. I have to say good luck to both the japanese and english cast for the reboot and a good luck to the creators I hope you don't disappoint me.

All and all a really good series definitely recomand it. Can't wait for the manga adaptation reboot.
