Lean drama in which one man has to make every second count
24 March 2019
An American thriller; A story about a man trying to keep his new born baby alive in a hospital which has been deserted by all its staff because of flooding. This disaster film is engrossing thanks to Paul Walker's performance. Some of the early scenes are poorly conceived with exposition and backstory as Walker struggles to express his character beyond the mundane. Some of the acting is below par too including a key moment when a doctor delivers some tragic news very awkwardly. Walker is called upon to produce the action and he does well at eliciting empathy and building a genuinely nerve-wracking sense of dread.
