When it became clear that "Nick" was about to bolt from Warner Bros.' Real Life . . .

. . . Sanctuary City in the late 1940s, Warner displayed its usual sense of gallows humor by assigning him to star in NOBODY LIVES FOREVER. The prophetic prognosticators of the always eponymous Warner foresaw that potential whistle-blowers such as Nick and Freedom Fighters including "Robin Hood" would NEVER be able to evade the U.S. Shadow Government's Black Ops assassins long enough to reach an "advanced age" (i.e., 55 or 60). Only a Pachyderm Party simpleton could swallow the party line that BOTH of these Champions of Liberty died of "natural causes" at their respective freakishly young ages. However, Cassandra-like seers and soothsayers of doom never get any respect on their Home Turf. Warner COULD have entitled this flick THEY'RE GOING TO MURDER JIM IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS: WATCH OUT!! and the hapless Free Thinker still would disbelieve his Real Life imminent demise with a "Who, ME?!" shoulder shrug. Maybe NOBODY LIVES FOREVER, but those who rock the boats of the corrupt capitalist corporate Fat Cat One Per Center Miser Class can expect to perish from counterfeit "heart attacks" decades before "their time."
