Le Samourai is one of the most stylish movies I have ever watched, and I can imagine how groundbreaking it must have been in 1967. Also, the influence of this movie is very noticeable in more current movies. Scorsese is the first that comes to mind.
The movie is a very rare combination of a no-nonsense crime story, impeccably shot and stylish as hell. Alain Delon is flawless here.
