The Neighborhood (I) (2017)
1/10
a dumb, pathetic goof wastes all his money
15 May 2019
Frank D'Angelo has joined the likes of Tommy Wiseau and Stephen Groo as a stupid, unlikeable man with the drive and money to make a movie. Props for that. But unlike these other terrible filmmakers, you can't laugh with or at the ridiculousness of his "movies". They are pure cringe without any enjoyment. He is an overweight, no-talent "writer/director" with a bad hair transplant who has such little insight that he makes himself the leading man in every project (probably imagining that his wooden, hokey performances come off as brooding and deep) and pays off d-list, washed up actors to indulge him in his fantasy of being a filmmaker. I never bother to write reviews but after seeing all the fake 9 and 10 star reviews he has given himself, I couldn't resist. Frank, you got lucky in business, good for you. Spend your money however you want, but don't delude yourself into thinking that anyone takes you seriously.
