Marvelous, Epic, A Must-See

The Expanse is an original sci-fi series that certainly deserves to be on top of the category. The charm of The Expanse is composed by numerous good factors, too many to be mentioned in such a short-intended review. But the key points can be quickly highlighted. Loving sci-fi movies I can say the story is magnificent in all aspects, telling so detailed and complex events about a future struggle going on between three or four major parts in the main plot, while other temporary parts were introduced and terminated in almost every episode. The story keeps reminding me about Homer's Iliad in many ways, especially those asking about ultimate ideas of morality behind wars. It almost replicates the complexity of the GOT series in more than a fashion. I think most of the story is acceptable regarding physics laws. The directing was a brilliancy! Not only succeeded in maintaining the excitement / action / moderate drama to go along with the science fiction through all episodes, but also avoiding time-wasting and boring chatters, and continuously aiming the audience toward the events. Most of all, there was a special and quite interesting attention paid for fine details that caught my eyes, about acute little conditions of used gadgets, weary cloths, old scaffolding, used doors and so on. These details were numerous, and to pay that attention to make them has put the series very convincing. Of course nothing less than perfection was expected from two great sci-fi writers and directors, Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus. The level of special effects and the music in this series deserve a reward.
