2/10
Drake is ups- upset. The listeners should be too.

Warning: Spoilers
This is the music video for the song "I'm Upset" from 2018, the same year that Drake came up with his record-breaking number "God's Plan". The latter has reached over a billion views on Youtube, while this one here stands "only" at slightly under 100 million. Director for both is Karena Evans and she has worked with Drake on numerous occasions, not just the two i just mentioned. This one here runs for 6 minutes 30 seconds and is basically a tribute to Drake's own past with "Degrassi: The Next Generation". I generally think it is a nice idea to come up with reunion projects like this, but honestly they also have to offer something. This one here offers nothing except being a Drake showpiece. He wakes up early on in the Toronto basketball arena (probably showing his origins and also his affection for the Raptors briefly before they became champion thanks to Kawhi Leonard and the girl sleeping next to him is Nina Dobrev maybe? I am not sure, but she is in this video because she was also on Degrassi, even not for as long as Drake. The other one you recognize in here is Kevin Smith in here, not just because his close affiliation with imdb, but really because he is in every film right now and he was on Degrassi for just a few episodes, so they could really have picked everybody else too, but not too many who were in 5 episodes or so have Smith's recognition value I suppose. Admittedly his awkward dancing and the White guy rapping towards the end were maybe even the highlight from this music video. I found it extremely underwhelming honestly. The song is not catchy, really forgettable and has like zero connection to Degrassi. But yeah, I guess Drake must be upset about something truly meaningful here and it all makes sense. oh well, that would be an explanation only his hardest fanboys could come up with. He is still to wow me with anything and I am not really understanding the hype. Does not make me curious one bit about degrassi or his other works. Also not too fond of the inclusions of vomiting, drug abuse and more. At the end, firefoghters have to come because the gang partied so hard. Is that why he is upset? I'm not really upset (even if the title of my review says so). Instead I am really indifferent and that is actually even worse. 6.5 minutes as forgettable as it gets. Highly not recommended.
