So I just finished bing watching this series. The body count beggars belief. Probably more happened here in one episode than a real spy's entire 'career'. It was well made, well acted and the story moved along at a clip, and they cleverly interwove real historical events. However, the sociopathic killing machines that are Elizabeth, and to a lesser extent Philip, just do not ring true to me.
I was not that keen on the final ending, especially as the killer spies get back to Russia, and the only really nice guy in the entire series, Oleg, stays locked up for life... If the powers that be are set on taking out Gorbachev, and if Elizabeth and Philip foiled things, would those powerful people not seek retribution? Also, what happens to Paige? More loose ends than tidy ending, IMO. A shootout where they both meet their makers would have been a more fitting finale.
