Yes, I'm old enough to remember the original tv series and no, I'm not making any comparison between the two. That would be unfair as both should be viewed on their own merits.
What an amazing modern day take on Worzel Gummidge. Great acting, beautiful music score and brilliant story writing; especially with today's ecological themes threaded throughout!
