Anbe Sivam (2003)
Surprisingly Mediocre
14 January 2020
Another excellent showcase of Kamal Haasan's acting prowess, Anbe Sivam finds the esteemed actor delivering another masterful performance on screen but the film in itself is a surprisingly mediocre & corny comedy caper with humanitarian themes. The segments dealing with two men stuck together is surely interesting but when the story dives into the lead character's backstory, it spends too much time there, thus diluting the interest. Considered by many to be one of best films of its industry though I fail to see what's so special about it, Anbe Sivam was one tediously overlong & forgettable experience for me.
