Warning: Spoilers
Starring Justin Long "The Wave" is a part thriller, part comedy, part drama, part action film about a nerdy Insurance claims lawyer called Frank Winters who goes through a drug induced surreal experience when he spontaneously decides to celebrate a big case success with his friend from work. They meet two girls, go to a house party and things obviously go horribly wrong. The next morning he wakes up and everyone from the party is gone, he goes to work and is hallucinating and soon he is being chased by drug dealers wanting their drugs back. And to make things worse his wife suspects he is cheating on her and he has lost his wallet.

The Wave is a decent movie although it doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it a comedy about a middle aged guy who feels like his life is stagnating, or a thriller? Or maybe it's a drama with a message that drugs and insurance companies are bad. At times the pseudo intellectual chatter and the hallucinations get to be a bit much and the ending may disappoint as it doesn't seem to fit the film. The acting is decent and the movie is just over 1 hour and 20 minutes long and it doesn't drag too much so its it's watchable. 5.5-6/10
