Robert urich as good as he was couldn't make this series last past 3 years ... i liked robert parker's private eye but the series "spenser for hire" fell way short of the mark ... much like his other series like "vegas" this show only delivered the goods when avery brooks was in the episode ... barbara stock added nada to the series ... she wasn't that good looking and bawled a lot ..clingy females don't mix good with hard boiled privates eyes
