Kimberbee's Agony

Warning: Spoilers
Little Kim was given the nickname "Kimberbee" by her loving grandparents, Fred and Jane. But after the tragic death of her parents, Kim distanced her self from them because the grief was unbearable. This led to a stranger named Joey, a psychopath, to enter into the lives of the grandparents as their caretaker. Joey had his sights set on taking over the house and getting the inheritance even if it meant murdering the kind old folks.

The interesting relationship that unfolded was between Kim and Joey. At first, Kim is attracted to the big hulk, who seems to be the perfect caregiver to old Fred, who is suffering from Alzheimer's. Within a twenty-four hour period, Kim sleeps with the charming Joey, then has regrets because of his quirky behavior. Kimberbee senses that something is wrong.

Kim's boss Jen is helpful in uncovering the multiple aliases of Joey and learning about his nefarious past. Indeed, Joey is a very bad man. Orphaned when his single-parent, junkie mother died, Joey was raised by sadistic grandparents, whom he eventually sent into the next world through CO2 poisoning. His scheme to get rich off of killing old folks takes a U turn when he begins to adore Kim's grandmother Jane. But that doesn't stop him from pushing her down the stairs to her death.

One of the highlights of the film was the character of the dear old grandpa Fred. The actor was extremely convincing in a moving and credible performance. Kim was also a genuinely caring granddaughter. But she very nearly made a fatal mistake in becoming attracted to a man who was an imposter and maniacal scammer.

Kimberbee needs better judgment that can only come from the wisdom of her kind boss Jen, who becomes the unsung heroine of the film. It was Jen who recognized right away that in the choice of a caregiver for the grandparent's Kimberbee's family go the wrong man.
