Disappointed and worried about my safety after today's show
30 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Today's show is again revealed something concerning - small Chinese businesses in Australia are buying face masks, hand sanitisers, longlife milk, baby formula to sell to China, during coronavirus crisis. What really disappointed me was that the programme was unable to dig out what the reasons behind the shortage in local supermarkets, e.g. Gov policies, negotiation and incapability of supermarkets predicting demand. Rather it pointed finger to these Chinese businesses and "daigo" people who buy from supermarket and send to China. As a Chinese working professional in Australia, I just received a fackmask parcel from Dad, and I am now scared to go to supermarket to buy anything. I do not want to be the next racist victim, as we have seen the Chinese students who were attacked recently simple because of the virus.
