I really wanted to like it again, but...

Warning: Spoilers
First off I'm gonna start saying that this series was my childhood. I really liked Dragonball Z and I was really excited for it to have a direct continuation, so I really enjoyed this show when I was a kid.

Now I'm going to mention some things that made this third viewing of DBGT horrible to me:

The bad things:

  • The black star dragon balls saga is bad. It feels like a cheap ripoff of the original Dragon Ball, but being far less funny and way more childish. Pan is an annoying character for the entirety of the series.

-Next up is the Baby saga, which most people seem to like but for some reason I felt that the references to Star Wars and the Bodysnatchers are out of place.

-Super 17's saga is one of the worst sagas in the entire dragon ball. It's very unoriginal and it only seems to be there to please the Z fans. That's not my case.

  • Finally, the Dark Dragon (?) Saga, in spite of being an interesting concept, it's way too short and bland. The Evil Dragons aren't even a challenge for Goku, Vegeta (who for the first half of the series has a ridiculous moustache) and company.

The good things:

  • Super Saiyan 4 is an interesting transformation, with an excellent design and a way more badass look than the god transformations in DB Super, not to mention that it's perfectly logic to the series mentioning that Legendary Super Saiyan who was a golden Oozaru.

To sum up, I think that DBGT is preety enjoyable for the little kids or for the people who have grown watching it, but it still has a lot of flaws, and it's insanely fast pace (apart from the first saga), makes it difficult to follow without losing information.
