a hymn to the eternal optimist

This was just a marvelous watch. i love forrest gump and the green mile, but im nearly sure that this one was even better. thats a crazy salute you may say , so have a look yourself.

perfect movies are hard to find these days, and i litteraly stumpeled over this one when searching for korean war documentaries, and the introduction to the main caracter happens when fleeing their hometown at the day the war started, over the years you'll have the pleasure of following him through deep sorrow , huge happiness, romantic courtesey, and near the end ,a little inch into dementia , but still loving grumpy old man, e g just like me...

production wise everything is perfect, even the cgi's are brilliant, the story and cast outstanding, the editing and filmography at the best of filmcraftmanship. what makes a difference to me when rating my confidence in a film is the score. im grumpy and therefore i dont shed tears as a nesscesity, but the soul of this score made my tears flow, its just so humiliating i know, but s..t happens so.... some may call it engagement but cryings just a pinch of sugar compared to when my physical and verbal engagement took hold on me at certain dramatic interludes in the film.

so if you like film with a whip of historical backlashes, then do have a look at '' ode to my father'' brilliant and recommended.
