Blood Brothers is another excellent kung fu flick by director Chang Cheh. This is a really well done emotional drama based on three sworn brothers that had humble beginnings as bandits before joining the army. This has an excellent ensemble of Ti Lung, David Chaing and Kuan Tai Chen as sworn brothers. Lust for power and one of the brother's wives makes this friendship crumble. This was well performed across the board, but Ti Lung is incredible here against type as a man hungry for power that is totally cold blooded and ruthless. While the costumes, sets and fights all look great, the strength of Blood Brothers is it's story and is a high powered drama. It's easy to see why this is so highly regarded. Blood Brothers is a great film.
