The main reason for such a low mark (not only on my scale) is lack of everything on every level. The actors are doing their jobs straight and bad. The plot goes on for ever and ever, presenting nothing interesting (to witness big rats for an hour or so is a dubious piece of entertainment). Special effects are getting boring as soon as you witness the first big creature. And so on.
Maybe my only mistake was to watch it in colour. Possibly, if you turn it into a black-and-white feature, it will gain a more realistic atmosphere. But now, after this awful experience, it's highly doubtful that re-watching this trash will ever take place in my life.
