A Bit if a Bomb
22 June 2020
It is hard to imagine that the Bill Emmott who was a distinguished editor of The Economist for 13 years during which time he doubled its circulation would have associated himself with such an awful piece of video journalism. The story wanders all over the place, the graphics are a joke (in contrast to The Economist's long standing excellence at identifying and presenting telling data in easily comprehensible form), key messages appeared as typeface on the screen rather than as spoken word, burying the message completely, and the purpose of the animations escaped me completely. Mr. Emmott should probably stick to the written word.
