Warning: Spoilers
Since 2012, Rita has been played by an excellent Mille Dinesen, who has really shone and owned that title role. It is a series that could not do without her, which you could largely see in the 4th season, where the focus was on Rita's childhood. A thread that makes sense, but which is not completely panned out.

The last season of the series takes Rita into a more serious and dark corner, which the 4th season gradually did too. It's something that makes good sense, but it cost a lot on the Rita we know and love.

However, the series makes the cool move to give Hjørdis (Lise Baastrup) a lot more space last season, and the same goes for Jeppe (Nikolaj Groth). Something that works great for the series. Finally, it gets all the plotlines tied, with a nice ending that may not make total sense, but which symbolically tells really well the issue Rita had last season and why she was wrong.

The series shows the problems and beukracy of the primary school excellently, and Rita is a stark contrast to this very beukracy.
